Gatton Park

Dream job. Pure and simple.

In early 2025, we were awarded the opportunity to design and paint a retired box car that would be used as a concession area at a new Gatton Park being constructed in Lexington, Kentucky. Many know that we as a team are obsessed with the American rail road system so the chance to create a permanent landmark involving a train car was a dream come true. Partnering with the park’s administration, we crafted a design that celebrates the natural beauty of the area while creating a fun area to congregate at the park amphitheater. This project was not without its challenges. Working with the schedule of an active construction site while on a tight deadline, sharing space with other contractors, using new materials and processes…all chances to progress our skills and push ourselves to create under pressure. We involved Louisville’s own Rockerbuilt for custom steel pieces to add a new dimension to the already complicated surface.

This project is a high water mark for us as artists, as well as a company. We are grateful for the opportunity and are proud to play a roll in such a beautiful space.
